Looking to Slow Down the Storm in Tampa and Build Momentum from Last Weekend's Win

June 2, 2017
The Baltimore Brigade (2-4) head to Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Sat., June 3 for their only road matchup of the season with the Tampa Bay Storm (5-1). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The Brigade are coming off their first home win of the season, a 63-60 thriller over the Cleveland Gladiators while the Storm enter the Week-9 matchup fresh off their second by week of the season.

BRIGADE PLAYER TO WATCH: WR JULIAN TALLEY – Talley represents the big play threat for the Baltimore offense with five touchdowns of 30 yards or longer over the last four games. In his only game against Tampa Bay this season, Talley recorded season highs of 149 yards and three touchdowns.

STORM PLAYER TO WATCH: WR JOE HILLS – In his last four games, Hills has recorded 475 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air, including 123 yards and three touchdowns on 11 receptions in the team’s last outing, a Week 7 outing against the Washington Valor. In Hills only matchup with the Brigade this season, he hauled in 13 catches for 126 yards and four touchdowns.

MATCHUP TO WATCH: STORM QB RANDY HIPPEARD vs. BRIDAGE DL KHREEM SMITH – Hippeard leads the way for the Storm offense, topping the league ranks in completions, attempts, completion percentage, passing touchdowns and passer rating. Hippeard has also thrown the fewest interceptions of any QB that has played four or more games. Smith, who leads the AFL with six sacks, will look to hurry Hippeard’s decision making. Smith recorded a sack in the teams’ previous meeting this season.

BROADCAST INFORMATION: Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on Monumental Sports Network and, for the first time, live on Twitter.
