The Baltimore Brigade added multiple players to their training camp roster including offensive lineman Wilson Bell and defensive back Shawun Lurry.

Bell enters his second year of arena football after starting in three games with the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League. Before transferring to Auburn University as a graduate student, Bell started in 18 games while attending Florida State University. He was named Florida State’s co-offensive scout player of the year after helping the Seminoles win the BCS National Championship in 2013.

Former Northern Illinois University Lurry once led the Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) with nine interceptions. He is currently tied for fifth all-time at NIU in interceptions with 14 and tied for third all-time with 33 career passes broken up. The three-year starter was invited to the Pittsburg Steelers rookie minicamp in 2018.

Arizona State University’s defensive lineman Tashon Smallwood was also signed by the Brigade. Smallwood totaled 131 tackles, 31 for a loss and 10.5 sacks in his four years at ASU and attended a New Orleans Saint minicamp in 2017.

The Brigade also signed Hampton University’s defensive lineman Owen Obasuyi who completed his career with 144 tackles and 14 sacks. Obasuyi spent time with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent, participating in their training camp.

Also signed by the Brigade were defensive back Travis Lee from Miles College and wide receivers Domonique Young from Purdue and Robert Wheelwright from Wisconsin. Morgan State’s offensive lineman Ehijele Ubuane from Baltimore, Maryland was also signed by the Brigade.
