Hippeard spent three seasons with the Storm (2013-14, 2017) and two with the Orlando Predators (2015-16), amassing 15,185 career passing yards and 323 career passing yards. Hippeard threw for 15 touchdowns in his two games at Royal Farms Arena last season.

VALOR  PLAYER TO WATCH:  QB Nick Davila - Davila returns to the playing field after a year of  coach  with the Arizona Rattlers. In 2016, his last season under  center , Davila won his third AFL MVP award and appeared in his fifth ArenaBowl. The three-time champion and five-time All-Arena quarterback touts career totals of 32,616 passing yards, 766 passing touchdowns, both good for top-10 all time, and 23 rushing touchdowns.

MATCHUP TO WATCH: Brigade DB Virgil Gray vs. Valor WR Rod Windsor – Gray, a six-year veteran of the AFL, anchors the Brigade defensive backfield and was described as “the quarterback of our defense” by Smith when he was signed earlier this offseason. Gray spent last season as a defensive backs coach for Baltimore. Across the line of scrimmage, Gray will look to slow down Valor wide receiver Rod Windsor, who played six seasons with Davila in Arizona. Windsor was named Rookie of the Year for his 2,300-yard, 54-touchdown performance in 2010. In 2016, his last season teamed up with Davila, the Western New Mexico State alumnus tallied his second-career 50-touchdown season and was named First Team All-Arena WR for the fourth time.

BROADCAST INFORMATION: Friday night’s game will be available on Monumental Sports Network, AFL Now and Facebook Watch.
